I have an oval chainring. Will POWERCRANK show correct values?

The use of an oval chainring causes a strong variation in the angular velocity during one turn of the crank mechanism. This phenomenon may result in slight discrepancies between the measured power and the real power. This discrepancy is within 5% of the error. However, the error that occurs is constant and all measurements are repeatable – which is the basis when training on a given bike.

In addition, it is possible to adjust the indications (eg adjusting to the meter indications in another bike) using the “scale” option in the INPEAK Manager mobile application.
